A modest suggestion for ending Daylight Savings Time. Oh the - TopicsExpress

A modest suggestion for ending Daylight Savings Time. Oh the precious hour gained To be well spent, to have ingrained A sense of purpose, deeds well done And not, like last year, fumbled. Could time fall back at 9 or 10 Instead of 2, what happy times! Awake, I’d claim another hour To sleep or love or take a shower If time changed in the afternoon Rejoice, all those whose mornings went To duties met in church or school, You too have blessings left to claim. Rejoice, an hour unspent. An hour in the evening gained Might mean a fresh cooked meal for all Or strolling slowly through the mist, In time to catch the football game. So many pleasures wrenched away By the “wee-hour” change of day! Instead change one clock at each hour. Feel the leisure spinning gently For your day a magic web Of choice and peace and plenty. The poetry is, meh, but neat idea, huh? Anyone in?
