A monumental day in world history: On September 12, 1683, Jan III Sobieski led a Polish - German coalition and decisively defeated the Ottoman Turk army besieging Vienna. Though outnumbered, the Polish motto was to count the number of your enemy after they were dead. The was the pinnacle of the Polish Commonwealth.
