A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a man was a found in North Manchester. At about 7.30am on Friday 15 August 2014, police were called to Otter Drive to reports a man had been found on the floor outside the address. Officers attended to find the body of a 38-year-old man. He was found with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds along with other injuries to his body. A post mortem will be carried out later today to establish his cause of death. Detective Chief Inspector Debbie Dooley from GMP, said: “We have launched a murder investigation into the circumstances leading up to and surrounding this mans death. “I would like to reassure residents that detectives are determined to find out what happened and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious at the time of the incident to contact us. “There are extra patrols in the area and I would encourage anyone with information or concerns to talk to us.” Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
