All of this come from a rich culture and history. It is a matter of record that the best of literature, art and culture came at the height of a certain civilization. But it is also true that the decline of a civilization has at times also resulted in giving the world the master pieces and the jewel of human scholarly endeavor. If there is a depository of human thought anywhere in time and space and for that matter even beyond it what would be preserved there. In this respect we have to find the most critical level of life. It appears that life force apart from being an organizer of chaos also gives buoyancy and dynamism. All these merge into sublime symmetry and essence, basically they both relate to ÉLAN- VITAL as describe by Bergson or that energy or force that is behind everything which is created. If not out of place and we acknowledge the Mosses legend Koh-e-Tor then we can say that what Mosses observed was an essence of essence that might have come to him as a great light of thunder bolt. I really at times wonder where would go the work, ideas , and thoughts of , Shakespeare, Dante, Kali Dass, Ghalib Da vinci, Van Gogh, Picasso, Newton, Einstein, Plato, Aristotle , Alexander, Napoleon etc. Art, Science logic, meta physics, sports and other fields of human growth, contribution and activity do not provide one very important aspect of human life and that is to laugh on himself and others. Story telling has been one important aspect of human leisure and entertainment and perhaps led to play and drama writing, one of the highest form of imagination and creative thinking. However, the comedy, satire and other such forms of literature and amusement for their quality and canvas directly relate to the nature and composition of a society and country. The quality of humor and satire play an important role in depicting persons and a polity and as such we may fairly understand the magnitude of complexity and comprehension of various facets of life. For instance in Subcontinent the literature on the fun side of life has been a recent development and the reason has been a feudal and religious culture. To laugh at one self and on others need to think and feel as fallible human being. How come one can enjoy the lighter side of life while considering himself living in the backyard of deities and Gods . However, it is funny that the capacity to laugh on them selves is far greater in lower classies than in elite. The Don Quixote, written by Cervantes in 1605 still remains as number one in terms of its sales. Similarly Gulliver’s Travel by Jonathan Swift and Animal Farm by George Orwell are all times great works of wit and satire. The fact is that unless a society is free, limited would be opportunities to relate to fun and funny side of life. The most outstanding name in urdu literature is yousafy sahib and there is no doubt that he had created fabulous humor. We can also site the names of Azeem Beg Chughtai and Col, Muhammad Khan, they are really good. Let us examine our selves in this regard. A society which abhors symmetry, order, aesthetics and the finer shades of life cannot appreciate the qualitative sides of life. Good hygiene, self articulation along with disciplined personality traits auger well with the normal course of today’s life. Therefore guys and girls look at your self and be very sure that you have added value to yourself as discounting yourself would discount life.
