A must read article from the perspective of an objective American During the past 20 years the US domestic Government policy has been a direct attack on the poor and the middle class. And thus, it should be shocking to everyone to learn that the US Government foreign policy, one major component of it is sort of petty domestic politics whereby they desperately need a war, because everyone is going to rally around the flag and forget about the economic collapse, the attacks on the poor and the middle class, the attacks on education, the attacks on subsidies for the poor and such. It is almost painfully routine here now. So, that is the power context – we really have a twofold foreign policy agenda or rather motivation. One is to distract the American population away from domestic issues and the second is that it is about money. We are a capitalist country and as such the US basically functions as a profit-maker for the US corporations.
