A new Australian Government funded police post was opened yesterday in Bwatnapni, central Pentecost. The Australian High Commission’s Counsellor (Development Cooperation), Simon Flores, joined a high-level delegation including the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries and Biosecurity, David Tosul, Commissioner of Police, Arthur Caulton Edmanley, and members of the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) Executive to visit the post, which will help the VPF maintain peace and security in Pentecost. Through the Vanuatu-Australia Police Project, the Australian Government is helping Vanuatu to strengthen policing services across the country.
