A new perspective on bad guys for our kids and ourselves. So much - TopicsExpress

A new perspective on bad guys for our kids and ourselves. So much of our pathology (craziness) comes from abandoning the parts we see as bad, dark, dirty, unlovable, shame-filled. It is essential that we begin owning ALL of us if we want to heal and move back into the Light and Wholeness of our being. In my experience, there is no such thing as bad people. Only good people (think back to babyhood) who got some bad ideas… about themselves, others and life. People who took on a lot of pain and suffering, had misunderstandings and made erroneous conclusions, and got stuck there. And, this is reinforced because unfortunately so much of our world obsesses about and sensationalizes negativity, drama and whats wrong out there... all while hiding our own deep dark secrets from ourselves and each other. Its amazing how often we accuse others of the same hurtful things we are doing on some level. Healing comes from seeing and admitting this (painful as it can be) and beginning to love ourselves back together again. In this courageous process we develop more compassion for ourselves and others. Something so needed here. When I worked with kids in schools, I saw clearly how much pain bullies were in. And, I began loving them... listening to them, including them, accepting them. In that space of loving, other kids joined in too, and things began shifting. We are all walking wounded to some degree. And, we are all in this together. Instead of seeing others as crazy, bad and evil, it would be much more beneficial to see them as pure hearts who simply forgot how good and holy they are underneath all their pain and developed defenses. In this darkness, often the only response they can see right now is lashing out, hurting, taking, hoarding, withholding, being indifferent or cruel. Many of us are doing this harmful behavior within ourselves as well. It all comes down to making space, listening, loving, forgiving, inspiring a new course of action from an openness of love and faith, rather than a certainty of pathology and despair. I, for one, believe that everything and everyone can be healed... and brought back to the place of REMEMBERing our true nature. Our world is counting on this deep rEVOLution of the heart
