A new sea slug has been named Tritonia khaleesi after the character Daenerys Targaryen. The Mother of Dragons is on the show Game of Thrones, based on the book series A Song of Ice and Fire. The slug was so named because its appendages reminded the scientists of the braids in Dany’s long silver hair. Note: For those not familiar with the books/show, Khaleesi is her Dothraki title, essentially meaning queen. T. khaleesi is about 12 mm long and is found off the coast of Brazil.
