A new study suggests that women diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer in the “gray area” – they have one to three positive lymph nodes -- are less likely to have a recurrence and more likely to survive breast cancer if they have radiation after mastectomy. If you’ll be having mastectomy to remove early-stage breast cancer with one to three positive nodes, you may want to talk to your doctor about this study.
