A new tradition is starting today. Test Drive Tuesday is a weekly Facebook installment of bringing you closer to the vehicles on our lot from the perspective of your average North Dakota gal. Hi, I’m Tara Kapp, the new BDC Coordinator here at RM Stoudt and your TDT hostess. Let me first say REALLY? On my 1st go out of the gate I really get to GO! The keyless remote to the 2013 Dodge Charger SXT Sedan gets tossed my way and on my way I went with a controlled skip in my step. The following are a few of the points that jumped out at me during my test drive afternoon: COMFORT: Sit down and say ahhhhh. There’s no loss of comfort in this old school muscle remake. In fact, let me first admit I’m no fan of leather interior. I remember the old days where hot days meant sticking to the seats. My outdated way of thinking changed today. Not only is the interior a gorgeous and sleek design and color combo, its down-right comfy. The adjustable seats made a shorty like me fit just fine without making me feel like I was sitting on the ground. For those of you with longer limbs you’ll have all the room to stretch out and travel in true comfort. Plus the cooled and heated seats bring an all new level of comfort so no more sticky legs syndrome! CONVENIENCE: Let’s face it, in today’s tech savvy world, gidgets and gadgets can be confusing. Not the case here with the available options on the dash. From the satellite radio to the push button start and 1 touch down shifter, I was amazed at how easy this technology was to use. The simplicity of the technology was also a plus to me. Not overwhelming but oh so neat to use. Yes, I used the word neat. How I would love to go on a road trip in order to sync my MP3 song lists to the radio while playing with the navigation system to get to where I want to go. See, like I said, neat. SAFETY: I’ve found as a mother I tend to pay more attention to safety features in vehicles more than I did, say, 15 years ago. The numerous air bags, rear camera, traction control and more add to the loveability of this vehicle without taking away any of its swagger. I can easily and safely fit all my children in the back with their booster and safety seats all while feeling a little sassy while getting the groceries. POWER: Yup, it has power. Even without the Hemi, the 3.6L V6 knows exactly what to do when you tap the foot feed. You’ll easily get up to speed faster than you may be ready. I tested this theory when getting up to speed on the on ramp. Don’t tell on me but I had to slow down to the posted speed limit once I merged into traffic. Yes, I had a big smile on my face and Yes, I’ll be more diligent next time officer. There are so many other features to consider when looking at this vehicle which you can find at stoudtdodgejeep/new/Dodge/2013-Dodge-Charger-a6d0bcbc0a0a00de01f4c81cc91c009e.htm Now that I have it warmed up for you I HIGHLY recommend taking your turn at a test drive on any day that ends in Y.
