A new video called Coping with Crying video helps new parents and expectant parents. The film has been developed by the NSPCC. It talks about why babies cry and provides tips to soothe a baby and tips about how to cope with crying. Children’s centres and Health Visitors are showing the film to parents within home visits. Parents and young people who have seen the film have given very positive feedback. There are now more opportunities for parents, expectant parents, grandparents, babysitters, and future parents to view the film within the children’s centres. The film lasts about 10 minutes and staff will be around to answer any questions or provide support. The sessions below are open to all members of the community, including professionals, so if you are interested please call in to one of the sessions below. No need to book, sessions are free, and refreshments are available. The film will be shown today, Wednesday 19 November at Winterton Childrens Centre from 3pm to 5pm. If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact the children’s centres: northlincs.gov.uk/people-health-and-care/children-and-young-people/childrens-centres/.
