A new video from Royal Roads on violence prevention at their University. I would like to strongly suggest that we do not talk about and/or show images of colonization as a past event, it is active system of violence impacting women (especially Indigenous women) Today!! Also if you are going to address a problem as systemic and/or cultural why advocate for individual empowerment of people as a key solution, especially from survivors who are generally not creating these harms in the first place. Finally, a greater effort to actually include the people most impacted by systemic and gender based violence in the video would have been appreciated, given the interview style. a good effort all the same :) youtu.be/d2uWPol_Wco
