A new video from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) highlights the growing knowledge and experience of using cash transfer programming (CTP) to meet the needs of people affected by disaster and crises. It is widely recognised that CTP can be an appropriate and effective tool to deliver assistance to the most vulnerable. Its use in emergency programmes within the National Societies of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement has been increasing year on year, with over 50% of the IFRC Emergency Appeals including CTP to increase the choice and dignity of disaster affected populations.
