A nice Sunday morning, rather temperate at 54. Sun is out, blue skies. Will be a pleasant day weatherwise. I stayed up late watching two old sci-fi movies after watching the severed head from the 15th century on Svengoolies horror show on Me-TV. Thing that Couldnt Die, a Universal monster movie from the 1950s. Then I watched the color classic, The Time Travelers and Beyond the Time Barrier. Both time-travel themed movies. My favorite was The Time Travelers (Wiki: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Time_Travelers_%281964_film%29 ) about scientists who created a window into the future to the year 2071 (see attached photos), where they discover a world of mutants from nuclear war. They meet up with the normal dying human race that went underground who are building a rocket to go to Alpha Centauri. A mutant war happens and the time travelers, who have recreated their time portal in the future peoples lab, escape the mutant attack and all step into the future of Earth 100,000 years in the future, with lush green grass, fruit trees and clean water -- a paradise -- an empty world cleansed by time of the trash of nuclear mutants who died out leaving Earth empty until the time travelers and their friends from the future go there.
