A nice four hour training ride today. Went to the very challenging Garrison Creek trailhead at Natchez Trace Park. Used to be a nice trail - but a decade of negect turned it into a rough pig path. Most of its not safe to do more than a nice gait - so this was a slow 5mph ride . But a good trail to see if Id turned the barely broke six year old twh Id bought last April - into a trail boss! Went under interstate, over wood bridges, under roads using cement tunnels, sliding down steep grades, leaping over numerous deadfalls, passing other trail riders whose horses threatened to kick - without reacting to them....... Yep, shes a trail boss now! Untacked pictures are from AFTER we got back to the trailer. This horse has gained 200 lbs since I bought her. I think shes ready for her first LD!
