A non Muslim woman saw a picture of Hijabi woman (who was putting make up) on an Islamic page so she made this comment :”I thought u (Muslim women) wear hidjabs and dress modestly to detract male attention, I couldnt understand why women would wear makeup, some youth couldnt answer me when they were wearing tight jeans , heals , top and a hidjab with makeup, i asked the question and they couldnt answer me.... “ End of coment! Dear Hijabi sister, for many people (Muslims and non Muslims) Hijab is a sign of piety and modesty... The purpose of make up for a woman is to beautify her self which is the opposite purpose of Hijab! (even if the intention of the girl who puts make up is not to attract intention to her, make up will remain unacceptable in Islam because forbidden things will remain forbidden no matter what is the natural of the intention of the one who does it) So plz understand that : HIJAB + MAKE UP = NOT HIJAB Don’t limit your interest in make up or nail polish You are a MUSLIMAH, your goal is : Jannah and pleasing Allah And they both will never come with Tabarroj (beautifying your self in front of non Mahram) so try to maintain the real purpose of Hijab… stay simple… stay modest
