A note (and video!) from Kids MusicRound co-founder Barbara Lysanko: During our time in Taiwan training teachers, I received the nicest surprise from my son and daughter-in-law in the form of a video. My grandson, Michael, who just turned one, is enjoying musical play with his mommy. Since he was born I have encouraged Erin and Mike to sing to Michael whenever they could, educating them music aptitude is the highest at birth. Every time I visit we have a Kids’ MusicRound class. In this video you will hear Erin singing and Michael is listening. Notice how she keeps the movement going by bouncing him on her lap. When she stops Michael knows there is more to the song and shows he is audiating when he turns to her and in his voice says “aa” to keep going. Erin continues the song. It is wonderful to hear him echo the final phrase. He also needs to “sing” and conduct the last note!
