A note from Ann Capazzoli Today after the Tri-State meditation - TopicsExpress

A note from Ann Capazzoli Today after the Tri-State meditation in the New Jersey ashram, Alan Wherry told us an amusing tale that I think you might enjoy as well. He started writing a story about a boy who was playing cricket on Nargol Beach in Gujarat on May 5th 1970. The boy was not a very good cricketeer and was asked to stay in the outfield where he could do the least damage to the game. He saw a woman in a sari walking along the shoreline. Something about her compelled him and he followed her as she moved away from the shore to sit under a small tree. He watched, from a respectful distance, the unfolding of one of the greatest events in human history, what we know as the opening of the Sahasrara Chakra. After writing couple of pages, Alan said he did what Alan does. He ran out of steam. But Richard Payment - editor of the Divine Cool Breeze, who has been working with Alan for some years - took up the story, improved the beginning considerably and now, several months later, has finished writing some two hundred and thirty pages. The story is now a novel, which he calls The Want For Wonders. Alan has shown the beginning to two literary people whom he really respects -- one, a famous Irish author, broadcaster and journalist, who said of Richards beginning, “Wow! This is what writing used to be like. I especially love, ‘Trust me, I have a story to tell.’ The purpose of writing The Want For Wonders is not to preach to the choir. The book was written specifically for non-yogis. But, if youd like to read the beginning, you can find it here: daisyamerica/literature-blog/2014/8/10/the-want-for-wonders And if you want to know more, please register by clicking daisyamerica/subscribe The boys name, by the way, Vivesh Dharshane, was kindly suggested by Ashish Pradhan, and means special dharshan, for thats what the boy had on that beach back in 1970. Word of mouth is the most important help for getting a book across and your help can make all the difference here. Much love from Ann Jai Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi!
