A note we received this morning from a concerned resident who attended yesterdays Public Meeting….. Two points: 1) I am incredibly impressed with the work you and your committee has done to present our case to the residents, Township and County. Congratulations on a fabulous job. 2) I am profoundly disturbed by the rambling, patronizing, muddled and virtually incoherent dismissal of our case by the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. They are turning over the decision to a fully discredited consulting company against the near unanimous opinion of the community. So much for democracy. Please keep on and dont give up. Surely reason will prevail. Regards, Dave ps. I loved the analogy from Hughes about Hwy 11. Its an interesting comparison to a highway that was essentially, at the time, the main and only significant link between the heartland of Canada ie Toronto, not to mention the eastern provinces, to Western Canada. With all due respect to the residents of Prices Corners, Jarrat and Craighurst, County Road 22 goes from essentially nowhere to nowhere. A startling comparison indeed.
