A one-month long observance of Hijam Irabot’s 118th birth anniversary and farmers’ demand day begin from today. Manipur Loumi Marup, organiser of the function started the day by holding sit-in at Keishampat Community Hall. Communist party of India-Manipur State Council, Manipur Loumi Marup, Student Federation of India-Manipur State Council and workers of Manipur Nupi Marup participated in today’s sit-in. Demands including implementation of ILP system in Manipur and save Sharmila’s life by repealing AFSPA are being raised in this month-long celebration.
