A open response to Paul Mckeowns question regarding the manual pad/ledge. Hello big papa, thanks for the interest Ive decided to start a new post so this doesnt get missed by anyone not keeping up to date with comments. The council have been informed about the height issue and Im told they are talking to freestyle about it now. I know a lot of people have concerns over changing the height of stuff or ripping it out to do it again so my proposed solution is to cut a trench between the pad and the ledge. It would only need to be about 5 and would allow a bike wheel through but not get in the way of skaters hitting the ledge. Im throwing this open because I want critical thinking. If you can come up with something better lets talk about it if not then pick holes in my idea. So far Ive been told it could add some danger of rolling a ankle in the gap. This is a valid point but you could get hurt on any part of the park so Im not sure it stands up. The second downside put to me is that if this happens then then bmxers get everything their way cant the skaters have something to themselves. To this I say at some point you have to grow up and realise its not about getting one up on each other regardless of whats gone on in the past. From a personal view as someone that has been criticised for only riding the ledges to have worked for this long on the project to find it has features I cant ride is a pain but to see people moaning that it might be put right without making it worse for others is very disappointing. On a brighter side Paul, Im pleased to hear the little one approved of the additions though P I hope hes taking over the torch next ;)
