A oto kolejny tekst naszego wolontariusza. Tym razem pisze o swojej fascynującej i pełnej niespodzianek podróży do Rygi, Tallina i Helsinek:) One day I was thinking about a Baltic tour trip what would be reach until Helsinki. I made a short plan and 1 of october I started go to Kaunas by hitchhiking. I arrived to Panevėžys at evening of the first day. Accidently my host was a same person who was my driver too, and hes friends there were really hospitable and helpful. I started from there my trip at the next day morning. It was a really tired trip because a guy who picked up me at Panevėžys, He took me out at south Riga and I needed a north highway to Tallinn. So after 30km walking I got a car what took me to Tallinn. I arrived at evening. My host there were an estonian couple. We cooked together a dinner and We had a nice time. Next day I went to Helsinki by ferry. In fact it was not a ferry, more was a luxury ship with shops and restaurants. When I arrived in Helsinki than I had to wait for my host in the city because He had been working. He was a really nice guy. He guided me in Helsinki and intoduced me some finnish beer : )). I think what is more interesting in Helsinki is the islands around the city. Example Suomenlinna. There are a beautiful nature. After two days I went back to Tallinn and I was lucky because my host was my ex-kindergarden mate and I didnt seen her 20 years ago! We had a nice time there and Tallinn is a really beautiful city especially the old town and the port. After this I went back to Riga. The city doesnt have so much renovated buildings and beyond this expensive. Personally I expected something more and beautiful. What can be evaluated is the old town. I was really surprised because when I was walking in the streets accidently I saw a hungarian shop. I went to inside and the seller was a latvian women and the shop owner was her hungarian husband. After a caffe and chat we organized a meeting by phone with her husband. We met at evening and I was a strong listener because hes story was really interesting how he went to Latvia and opened a shop in Riga. After this day with a lot of hikings I turned back to Bialystok : ) It was a really exciting adventure.
