A paper that Point Blue GIS Specialist Dennis Jongsomjit led to publication in the journal Landscape Ecology in 2013, “Between a rock and a hard place: the impact of climate change and housing development on breeding birds in California” has been selected by the US Regional Association of the International Association for Landscape Ecology (US-IALE) to receive Honorable Mention for Outstanding Paper in Landscape Ecology. As the awards committee said: “This recognition comes on the strength of a strong nomination from the US-IALE membership and a careful reading of the paper by the committee.
