A parent asks our group: How do you handle it when the other parent doesnt undertand your child??? My sons father yells and screams all the time at him and it only causes more problems to the point where I have stepped in and told little man before just dont listen to Daddy hes being crazy. I then get in trouble for getting him out of trouble, or letting him get away from stuff. HIS FATHER WILL NOT READ UP ON ANYTHING ABOUT SPD OR AUTISM!!!! I have tried and tried and tried to get him to just research it and its like he is in denial...even though he will say that he understands that our son doesnt understand some stuff but other stuff hes just being a boy or just playing us....I AM SOO AGGRAVATED that I am almost to he point of just telling Daddy that its either he figures out whats going on and can learn and try out new plans of actions or he has to get out of the pictues. Yes it will hurt my son more but it is only hurting him still with daddy not understanding and all the time just getting on to him FOR EVERYTHING!!! Please help on ideas and ways I might be able to help my family!!!
