A parent asks our group: Is it common for SPD kiddos to have difficulty looking into a camera for pictures? My son can look me in the eyes most of the time; eye contact is rarely an issue. But whenever I pull out my iphone or camera to snap his picture he automatically looks off to the side while smiling a forced smile at the camera. Hes always struggled with it and then after about 10-15 seconds of taking multiple pics I can sometimes catch his eyes looking at the camera momentarily (or get him to laugh) and get a good shot but its not easy. Is this typical for non-asperger SPDers?
