A parent asks our group: Okay I have a question for the group and I really wanted to keep a tab on it so I can see any advice you might have. We just got the call our daughter will be able to get into the Developmental Peds. office next Saturday (May 31st). We have been working on paperwork for over a year and now that it is finally here I am freaking out a little bit. I was expecting we would be waiting 3-6 months because that is the normal waiting period and I would have plenty of time to come up with questions and prepare my daughter (she is 2 almost 3) about what the appointment will be like. Now I have less than a week and have no idea what I want to ask. Its like I have forgotten all the struggles we have been having the last 2 years. Im excited about finally getting a diagnosis but I am so scared about it as well. Its like I have been living in this fantasy world of not knowing the official diagnosis and its almost nicer not knowing. I dont know if this is making any sense but it if is could someone please tell me I am not the only Mom out there who dreads and is excited about an official diagnosis?
