A pastor used to need spiritual discernment to know when a member - TopicsExpress

A pastor used to need spiritual discernment to know when a member was struggling spiritually, NOW you can just check there Facebook posts, Tweets, etc. If a pastor stood in the pulpit and told the church what a member was doing, he would be vilified, but now the member tells the whole world themselves on social media. As a Brother or Sister in Christ, do you feel any personal responsibility to pray for those who reveal on Facebook that they are living two different lives: one lifestyle in church and the other outside church? What is going on inside a persons head and heart that makes them feel inclined/compelled to take private, intimate pictures of themselves and post them on social media sites? It is beyond human comprehension! Jesus has offered to forgive us and keep our struggles and failures between us and Him, BUT so many today seem to need to brag about them to the whole world on social media. Using profanity and vulgarities in posts and tweets does not show cool or with it that you are? It only trumpets how crude and disrespectful of others that you are! Save it, no one in their right mind wants to read it! Bishop Chester M Wright Antioch, The Apostolic Church Arnold, Maryland
