A person’s greatness lies in his dedication. Determination and humility. It is not very often in life that we come across individuals who inspires, individuals who let us realize that we do too could be bigger and better than our present selves. I would consider my lucky dor knowing such a person I having only known a few who could quality as someone who could inspire make a difference and change views. Indeed, God willed for me to be at the Sultan Kudart Polytechic state college Tacurong Campus to fully take advantage of his greater purpose for me and this purpose came into fruition under mentorship of Mr.Noel Octaviano an AB Philosophy Graduate who teaches psychology at the SKSU and the Current Guidance Counselor for Tacurong Campus. But before he bore the responsibility of mentoring young people he are traveled the world as a seafarer for an international shipping company. This mentor of mine is Mr. Noel Octaviano a 55 years old guy who consider himself as patient, understanding and caring. He is married to Aurora Aquino Octaviano His partner for 24 years in rising their 6 kids Mrs. Aquino currently work as a nurse in Saudi Arabia to be able to sufficiently prode for the family growing needs. I was lucky enough to delve deep into Mr. Octaviano past and dug same facts. He spent his elementary years at the Notre Dame of Upi and secondary education at Notre Dame of Upi both in Maguindanao. Not content with his current education he took masteral classes at the SKSU Access Campus which led me to conclude that education. Truly is a never ending process. We can always pursue challenges and that age should not dictate how much we can achieve. As a Father, he said that his wish is for children to be successful in their field and he will support than in reading their goals and ambitions. I believe this is how he see his job as guidance counselor, to help young people like me realize our dreams and goals by guiding us into a path towards success and fulfillment. That is what I absolutely admire must in him, his passion in and dedication in shedding light to our inhibition, self-doubt and difficult circumstances. Pamela Alliah A. Hiso BS-EM 2-B
