A phone call at lunch today: Beringia in my backyard picture contest. Over 500 participants across the territory, 12 winners from grade 1 to grade 12. And the winner for grade 7-8, my daughter Amélie who got awarded, at a special ceremony at the Yukon Art centre, an iPad mini for herself and $500 for her class. A very happy girl….o.k. and a very proud mom. The exhibit of most of all projects is up for viewing in the Education gallery of the Yukon Art centre til end of November. I would have certainly not wanted to be a jury for that contest. Not an easy task with all those great artwork pieces.
