A plea for help in the N.Y. area... Hello! My name is Michele Jennings and I am a volunteer with Quaintance House Animal Protective League in Greenwich, NY. We are a non-profit organization whose primary goal is promoting health improvement through spaying/neutering, vaccinating, diet, routine veterinary visits and preventative practices such as complimentary herbs and homeopathic applications. We also house First Step to Harmony, a low cost spay/neuter clinic. We are currently assisting in a 75-90 cat rescue in the Glens Falls, NY area. These cats are all healthy and we are getting enough donations to spay/neuter, vaccinate and test EVERY cat, but we are falling terribly short on homes. As of Saturday night on June 8th, only 6 cats have been adopted! These cats only have about 7 days before they will begin to be euthanized. We are DESPERATELY trying to place as many cats as possible! We are asking for help from as many no-kill shelters in the New England area as we can contact. Some of these cats would be better in farm situations and we would also consider foster care situations! All cats would be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested and we have drivers willing to deliver cats to any organizations that can help. We know that this is a difficult time of year when most shelters are full of kittens, but we are hoping that someone has room to help some of these cats. IF YOU CAN HELP: Please call the director of Quaintance House Animal Protective League, Christine Boudreau at 518-692-9848 as soon as possible. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS! WE APPRECIATE ANY ASSISTANCE THAT CAN BE OFFERED IN SAVING THE LIVES OF THESE BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY CATS!
