A plea for info and to keep our collective community eyes out from John on behalf of the Yoorala street community garden: Hi, Im a member of the Yoorala St Community Garden and we were vandalised Sunday night. Weve been visited a few times in the last few months but last night brought the worst damage: a pawpaw, citrus and banana tree, and garden stakes pushed over; a shed forced open and lock missing, with a wheel barrow taken out and a black plastic bin set fire to inside it (the wheelbarrow pushed away to the far end of the park outside the garden later); vegetables ripped out of one plot; other plastic bins split; red bull cans and bottles left lying around. Not sure whether the two were related, but I could hear a party going on the other side of the creek earlier in the evening with loud dance music and wonder if people leaving that later might have been responsible. Could I ask if anyone has any info about who might be responsible to get in touch...and also if people living along the end of Yoorala Street could keep their eyes open for this sort of stuff we would appreciate it!!!
