A plea from an anonymous reader: When I left for work at about 6am this morning there was a small cat in the street with a tin stuck on its head, it was breathing really rapidly and struggling to catch its breath. It probably would have suffocated if someone hadnt found it. I managed to free him but he had cuts all around his neck from the tin, before I could get a proper look at him he ran off obviously terrified. The tin was a dog food tin half full that someone had obviously left in their garden, on the street or chucked into recycling without washing it and the cat had tried to eat from it. This could have been a really horrible incident with someone loosing their family pet! All it needs is people to have a bit more pride in their area, stop littering so much and leaving tins and bottles all over the streets. Thank you.
