A polite message to all concerned - I apologise if we may take more than 1 day to deal with your Poppy Appeal problems. I have a full time job of over 48 hours & so does my wife Kerri ʚϊɞ Griffin. We also have a young family that we would like to spend a little time with over the Poppy Appeal period. We have had numerous problems this year including only being confirmed that allowed to use the TA Centre at the last minute which put back our preparation greatly, we also cannot gain access to the TA Centre over the weekends so if you need any supplies then get them to us in plenty of time before the weekend. We have had some of our most dedicated collectors sadly passing away recently. We have had a lack of volunteers for this year despite appealing for volunteers via radio, newspaper, social media, posters all over Town, appeals in the Job Centre & Northampton Volunteer Centre. We have been planning this Poppy Appeal since March, the worst thing about the job is people not replying to our emails, we then have to spend the rest of our time chasing & chasing the same people rather than dealing with someone elses problems. I(Dean Rbl Griffin) and my wife(Kerri) are working all hours we can to ensure you receive your deliveries in an adequate time, I started my real job at 06:00 this morning, finished at 18:00 tonight, im really tired but I have been dealing with emails and such since and tried to spend a little time with my children as they are going away for a week with the Scouts so im going to miss them! It is now 20:20, I am going to go to bed now as I have to be back at work again at 06:00 in the morning! We are really not lazy, we are not ignoring your requests, please bear with us, we will get them done as soon as we can. I thank you all for your support, Dean & Kerri.
