A popularity contest doesnt decide who would win an actual fight. Most people dont know this (and if you knew anything about comics, youd understand this), but Superman is MUCH smarter than Batman. His Super-Brain can retain and memorize information THOUSANDS of times faster than a humans. In a N52 comic, Superman read EVERY medical dictionary in under 5 minutes. But you may ask, why does Batman always own him in terms of intellect when hes with Superman? Its simple. The writers throw Batman a bone. It happens in the Justice League comics too, its always just TOTAL PIS so that Batman doesnt look obsolete. Batman took a DARKSEID punch in a JLA comic. Plot-Induced stupidity at its finest. A Darkseid punch would vaporize Batman. Not to mention, the only Kryptonite has access to is the Kryptonite GIVEN to him by Superman. He tried to produce his own, but all attempts either failed or were far too weak to be effective. On top of that, Superman can move and react to objects moving faster than light. Also, since history doesnt lie, Supermans beaten Batman 10 times in the comics (4 times included Batmans prep-time), and Batmans only won 2. These instances for Batman include Hush, and The Dark Knight Returns (which is non-canon, anyways). Im sorry, but Superman takes it. Im one of the few people who actually likes Superman more than Batman. His feats just amaze me, and the whole aspect of taking on that much responsibility and having that much moral fiber is interesting. So Superman wins a fight, and IN MY OPINION is a better character. That being said, Batman is a BA, too.
