A post by Di Hill, a Village Volunteer... Tomorrow morning a steam train will leave Brisbane on its way to celebrate 150 years of Queensland Rail. When the train pulls in to Caboolture there will be a motley crew from the Caboolture Historical Village waiting to board - all in some sort of period costume, for the journey from Caboolture to Gympie. It leaves Caboolture around 10 am. As the train passes the Caboolture Historical Village there will be a re-enactment with a cannon (wait for the BOOM) and red coats with guns (how many booms will there be?) All legal of course and the train drivers have been warned!! So if you want a little excitement around 10 am tomorrow either go to the Caboolture Station or go to 280 Beerburrum Road and see the performance at the Village. We are hoping to tell many people on the journey that we are planning a great Australia Day on January 26th!
