A powerful cold front will bring rain to the area Monday, followed by cold weather that will likely break records in central Georgia. Temperatures will hold steady around 60 degrees Monday as rain moves through the area. Rain totals should stay less than 1, with higher totals north and west of Macon. Temperatures will begin to fall during the afternoon, quickly reaching the 40s by the early evening hours on Monday. By Tuesday morning, all of central Georgia will wake up to the 20s. Highs Tuesday will NOT escape the 40s. As this point, we are expecting the coldest high temperature for November 18th since 1900, which means a high temperature colder than 46 degrees! By Wednesday morning, much of central Georgia will wake up to the teens. We are expect a record low temperature of Wednesday morning, which means at least colder than 24 degrees. Highs Wednesday will likely stay in the 40s. We expect another night in the 20s Wednesday night, but after that, a warming trend gets us closer to average for Friday and the weekend. Stay tuned for updates on the cold blast headed for central Georgia!
