A prayer for CU students and for us all at the start of this new season: Lord, help me to be grateful for the privilege of study, For all the opportunities to discover truth for myself And to grow mature in mind and character. Help me to be grateful by using these opportunities rightly. Help me to discover my proper place in the community of learning; In the fellowship of my friends and fellow students; In the field of knowledge in which You have placed me; In the variety of services to which I may be called; And in the challenges which may await me. Help me also to discover my own abilities, But not to become proud of my talents. Help me to develop and use them in serving others. O Eternal God, bless all schools and universities, That they may be lively centers for sound learning, New discovery, and the pursuit of wisdom; And grant that those who teach and those who learn May find You to be the source of all truth; Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
