A prayer for the start of the week: Lord,We start this week with the rest of the world. The sun rises and we hold fast to the promise that your mercies are new every morning. We hold this truth for ourselves today. More than this, Lord, we hold this truth for all who wake to a new day – our neighbors, our co-workers, our brothers and sisters halfway around the world. May your compassion and kindness pour over all who are in need. And, dear God, may your compassion and kindness pour out of us on all who we come in contact with, that we may be your hands and feet in these coming days. As you have made us new creations, may we continue to the process of co-creating with you a world that ushers in your Kingdom – on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, Amen.
