A preacher once gave this sermon illustration to emphasize the prevalence and evil of worldliness in our modern society. A teacher asked a student, Is the world round? No maam, he answered. Is it flat? she asked. No maam, he replied. Well, if its not round and its not flat, then what is it? Its crooked! he exclaimed. He got it right, the preacher said. The world that we live in is crooked. Truly, the world we live in is crooked and evil world. It is a world where everyone limps, and the person who walks normally is considered abnormal, A world where lifestyles and practices condemned by Gods word are considered as norms. It is a world where adherence to the principles and practice of Gods word is termed legalistic. It is a world where nothing is no longer seen as black and white.
