A press conference was held yesterday afternoon where former president of the local bar association Kay Bacchus Browne, on the issue of Vynette Fredrick’s explained that it will not go anywhere; she said what happen was against the rule of law and abuse of process. Bacchus noted that they have been informed, that there is an appeal from the magistrate decision, which vex the issue and questioned, if you are appealing the decision how you can arrest the person under the same charges. Bacchus reiterated that she has never heard of such thing anywhere and it is a clear abuse of process. Bacchus added that the whole case have been bungled, which she does not understand; and they would either have to appeal the case or withdraw the six charges, She said there was a rush to embarrass senator Fredrick’s. Bacchus said Fredrick’s was put in jeopardy for the exact same three charges that they have now added, and that you can always charge and always convict someone out of an offense; For reasons on the facts which she said is an abuse, and questioned whether they were reserving the charges to bring on her later for whatever reason, would you add the most serious charges or playing games that you should reserve the most to befuddles her mind.
