A psychological analysis of a reactionary believer: For the lack - TopicsExpress

A psychological analysis of a reactionary believer: For the lack of credible evidence to convince oneself of what s/he believes in, s/he becomes defensive first and then aggressive and finally violent. Personally, I would not even consider these people believers, since they really do not believe in what they say they do. However, it seems they are the loudest and for the unsuspecting, they are the voice of conscience. As a result, their number is on a steady rise. They are increasingly effective on the marginalized and also not so marginalized, but poor populace who are far from being critical of their belief systems. Our system of education doesnt help either. The best context is being served via the corrupted politics that is devoid of any moral standing and simply works to forward its own selfish agendas. The need of the hour is to have a unified voice, which is hard amongst the free-thinkers, since saying yes but is our preoccupation. Nonetheless, we need to find a platform that has the capacity to hold most of us, if not all. To me, that is secularism since whatever it is, it is not an unfamiliar concept, given the fact that the country was established as that being one of its founding principles. What say you all?
