A question for my Liberty Republicans: Ive seen your efforts and been on a panel with you, Dave. I know you oscillate from the vitriol to the compensatory when it comes to your obvious aversion to the Libertarians who would be trolls as you like to call them, but what is the lesson here? Honestly, Im not the one to give you hell. But I cant help but be disheartened by the results. Medina I thought had a runoff. Simpsons win was glorious. And that is something to build on. The HRLC efforts are noble. At some point, do you think you should try and find a way to support any and every candidate that supports your views. Effectively creating a coalition that doesnt require the weight of party politics for its mandate. But rather finds its power in transcending said party constrictions in order to propagate the message of liberty? In short, while I understand the use in endearing oneself to a party, could it be better to find the strengths in any party candidate that resonates with the HRLC? Now this does not automatically relegate itself to relativism, on the contrary, it emboldens those groups who wouldnt have broached the possibility to do something beyond the normal constraints of their single issue politics, in doing so, they find that the appeal to the principles of Liberty are vastly more far reaching than they ever hoped.
