A question for today: A long weekend...I remember when I was a child and there was an elation that over took me at the idea of snow days, long weekends, holiday breaks, and the like. I get it sometimes still, but mostly now if I get a day off, I find myself inventing things to do rather than actually getting things done. I mean its not all bad. I usually discover new films, books and music over long weekends. I discover things like Ramsey Campbell(author), Say Something(song), Gone Home (video game), and Youre Next (Horror film). There were a few other discoveries. I discovered that my art is me working through me. I know it will often seem like stories about other people and other things, but this weekend made it very clear to me that Im always bringing myself to my art in an intimate, passionate and personal way. A long weekend? A time of discovery. An adventure. Mostly a working through myself. I do that. Im of creature of constant revision. So anyways I guess the question is: Whats something that you get excited for?
