A question for white basset owners: I have noticed a big difference between foster, Buddys coat and that of my mahogany and my tri color. My mahoganys coat is sleek and smooth, the tri color has a lot of thick undercoat but he is also glossy. Buddys coat is really thin, so thin that you can see his skin spots beneath it and its kind of coarse and wiry. Would you say that this typical of white bassets or is anyone else familiar with this coat type?
