A question from our inbox: I had my 4th cesarean 3 weeks ago. For the past three days I have had increasingly crippling pains in my lower right abdomen. They feel like my insides are tearing and are frightening and make me cry out and I am unable to move till the pain subsides. It feels like muscle tears but horribly extreme. I am sure its muscles or something internal tearing because it only happens when I get up from sitting or twist in a certain way, especially while holding the baby. At first I assumed I overdid it and tore muscles but by this morning I was worried enough to call my ob and he just said its probably normal but I can come in if I want. Ive never felt this in any of my previous cesareans and I have a very high pain tolerance and Im almost afraid to move from the pain! Ive decided I will go to my ob tomorrow. In the meantime, anyone ever experienced this? Any idea what could be happening? I have no fever or other signs of infection or appendicitis, but I have wondered if a hernia is possible or my internal scar has opened or something like that. I just dont know. #ICANSupport
