A quick followup on my last post regarding the TORT REFORM - TopicsExpress

A quick followup on my last post regarding the TORT REFORM mandate...I would like to make one final point here if I may folks...If in fact the true intent behind TORT REFORM, is in effect so to diminish or to simply dwindle down ( WRONGFUL LAWSUIT CLAIMS ) etc....( Which is as I have said beforehand nothing but..GIBBERISH!...But lets just say for the sake of arguments that this is in fact the case...Then I have a very simple and very effective alternative solution which I wish to propose to our dear Legislators....men and women within the GOP....How about we do away with any and all monetary compensations all together and in its stead pass a bill whereby if the defendants ( Doctors, Medical orderlies etc. ) are found guilty by a Grand Jury, in a Court of Law....For being responsible for inflecting pain, suffering and even death of a patient do to their negligence, abuse or mistreating of a patient...That they will serve no less then ten years in a State Penitentiary without any possibility of parole....After all...Were you or I to commit the exact same crime against another human being...Meaning to inflict any level of grievous harm or abuse...Or to take the life of another person...Would we not be subjected to this very same treatment by the Courts??...So then why is it that those who have sworn a oath to help those weak and vulnerable members within our society commit such monstrosities are granted a time limit or statute ,limitation time for being brought to justice....But you and I even if would take fifty years would ultimately face life and even possibly the death sentence???... Now if our fine Legislators honestly wish to do the right thing...And at the same time protect the interests of we the people...Then here you go!¬...Any Legislator who pushes this bill as I have suggested forward...I will be the first to sign my John Henry to it!. -Darius Radmanesh
