A quick health update: I had a procedure to repair the fracture in my spine. Its taken some time, but Im having MUCH less pain and am able to be up and around more. Thankful that our niece, Kassandra, suggested I see the dr she works for. Sometimes, I think the cancer doc is so focused on the disease, that they dont think about something to make your life more enjoyable. Drew is a senior this year. Joel is a freshman. Im thankful to be more present in their lives at this moment. My next set of scans will be in October. Thank you for the many prayers, kind words, good thoughts, and acts of kindness to our family.
