A quick word before I climb under the sheets. I went hiking on the Sumter National Forest near Union today. I was close to the Tyger river. I had many things on my mind and to be quite honest I was thinking way too hard about decisions I had made in life and mistakes. I was thinking of my life, my health and the fleeting feelings that seem to be more frequent lately. I wont bore you with the details if youve read this far, but I came across this little group of folks in the woods. They were very quiet and trouble free as they had been sleeping for over 100 years under the ground. Most were civil war vets and a couple their wives. Many just had rocks for head and foot stones. It put my concerns in prospective. Many decisions we make are consequential and some not but either way, well have our own rock one day whether were ready or not. Goodnight John boy.
