A random question: Do you bother to take the core (the sprout part) out of garlic cloves? I never do...but most of the recipes on Cookpad that use garlic seem to recommend doing so, since its supposed to be bitter. I have also seen this in some cookbooks (French, Italian). I have never experimented to see if it makes that much of a difference. If the sprout is green I remove it, but otherwise I dont bother. You?
