A random visitor at my kitchen window. No idea what it is. I shot this set with my Sigma 300mm macro lens, which has advantages and disadvantages. It has a long focal length so you can stand quite far away from the subject and not frighten it, but it also means you have a very shallow depth of field, as you can see in these photographs. It was a low-light situation so I couldnt really fiddle too much with aperture. Nevertheless, I got an interesting view of an interesting creature.
